Brand New Hampshire Home Rejects Casino Expansion Bill

A casino expansion bill, sponsored by brand New Hampshire Senator Lou D’Allesandro, was voted down by their state House

The bill had been killed by a vote that is 275-82 the 400-member House. The lower household of the state’s General Court has long opposed any proposals for casino expansion in the state’s edges.

Generally, SB 242 needed the construction of two gambling enterprises in 2 different parts of their state. Among the gambling venues would have been a Category 1 one, having a construction that is minimum of $80 million

. One other will be a Category 2 facility, worth at least $40 million. The 2 gambling enterprises might have showcased an overall total of 5,000 slot machines and around 240 dining table games.

Based on the bill’s sponsor, Sen. D’Allesandro, along with other proponents, the proposed gambling expansion could have kept casino revenue within the state, would have produced jobs, and would have benefited economy.
